Practicing Communication at Resource Fairs!

Practicing Communication at Resource Fairs!

It was incredible to have two of our artists manage their OWN tables alongside our group table at the fair! ❤️ Vyara and Nick got to practice managing and selling their work, while Ricky & Christian helped me at the NOVEL booth by introducing themselves to customers and talking about their art.

We got to practice three essential skills at this market:

Communication✨ It can be difficult to approach strangers. You never know what will happen when you meet someone new! We practiced approaching artists we didn’t know to introduce ourselves. saying “Hi, My name is ______, and I like your art.”

A smile, a compliment, and a “Hello!” is sometimes all you need to make a new friend. 🙂
- ✨Self Promotion✨If you want to find more opportunities to advance your career, you beed to get comfortable with saying how PROUD you are of yourself and your art! When people see that you take pride in your work, they often find reasons to be proud of you too!

- ✨Patience✨ Art markets can be unpredictable. They can be long, hot, and can’t predict if you’ll make lots of sales or not. But here’s the thing: Patience allows you the strength to keep going even when you don’t know what will happen, and when the right opportunity comes along, it’s YOU who will be there to accept it! One of our artists, Nick, has been working on his art since 2020, and yesterday he got an offer to TEACH a workshop! His patience and dedication are paying off! Yours can too. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out to support us!
